VP of Information Technology

Location : Downtown Austin, TX or Old Town Scottsdale, AZ (In-Office); Remote considered for the right candidate

As our VP of Information Technology, you will own the entire internal technology ecosystem that powers a fast-scaling SaaS company. This is a hands-on executive role. You'll set vision, but you'll also roll up your sleeves. You'll design systems that scale, eliminate friction in how we work, and keep our people secure without slowing them down. We are open to candidates based in our Austin, TX or Scottsdale, AZ offices, and we also welcome remote candidates who bring the right level of seniority and impact. We trust our leaders to choose the environment where they do their best work.

Our Austin office is downtown with sweeping views of the Capitol, a gym, and all the amenities of a world-class workspace. Our Scottsdale office is in the heart of Old Town, with huge windows, craft coffee, free drinks, and catered breakfast every dayplus direct access to some of the best lunch and happy hour spots in the city. Twice a year, we bring the entire company together for energizing off-sites in cities like New York, Nashville, Miami, and San Diego.

Strategic Mandate and Clear Scope

This role is 100% focused on internal systems, tools, and security. You'll own :

  • All internal SaaS platforms, hardware, device management, and user lifecycle tooling.
  • Internal compliance, access control, and IT security measures.
  • Productivity and support processes for every employee.

This role does not touch customer-facing infrastructure. Where there's overlap, you'll collaborate withand ultimately defer tothe Engineering organization.

  • Proven hands-on experience with MDM platforms, including building custom deployment packages and scripts.
  • Fluency in IT security and compliance practices : access logging, SSO / LDAP, and policy design.
  • Experience building zero-downtime onboarding / offboarding systems.
  • An automation-first mindset : if it can be scripted, it should be.
  • Ability to "speak engineer" collaborate with technical teams, contribute scripts, and partner effectively with Engineering leaders.

  • Own internal IT strategy in a Mac environment : SaaS management, device control, access systems, and user lifecycle processes.
  • Design and enforce seamless security systems : real protection, zero friction.
  • Automate relentlessly : provisioning, onboarding, patching, compliance, and help desk workflows.
  • Lead help desk operations : build systems that resolve issues quickly and proactively support employee productivity.
  • Oversee core platforms : Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Greenhouse, Help Scout, and more.
  • Champion compliance : lightweight but powerful access controls and policy frameworks that keep us audit-ready.
  • Collaborate with Engineering : contribute scripts, coordinate infrastructure needs, and act as a bridge between IT and dev teams.
  • Deliver early wins : identify high-impact improvements in your first 90 days and build trust fast.
