Data Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale data solutions. This role will focus on designing and building robust data pipelines, creating scalable data models, and performing in-depth analysis to support critical business needs. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Python, SQL, and cloud-based technologies, and can work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

This role is fully onsite in Beaverton, Oregon. Fully remote candidates who meet all requirements will be considered; PST working hours from 8AM-5PM are required.

Data Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and optimize data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Utilize cloud-based tools and services (AWS EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda) to build and deploy integrated applications in production.
  • Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployments and high system reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate data integrity, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Support the full software lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and ongoing production monitoring.

Data Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degrees or equivalent experience accepted).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or related technical roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with proven experience in building complex data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Bricks, Airflow, AWS, and EMR.
  • Familiarity with designing and maintaining relational database structures and ensuring data quality.
  • Proven ability to implement DevOps practices and CI / CD workflows for data solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
  • Compensation : Up to $70.67 / hr. (DOE)
