What This Job Involves

As a Facilities Maintenance Electrician at JLL, you'll perform mid-level work in the repair and maintenance of facilities while potentially leading others in related work as required. We embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career, and you'll demonstrate this through your expertise in electrical services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and replacement needs, installing and maintaining electrical equipment, and assisting other skilled trades. Your role requires the ability to independently analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action to ensure optimal facility performance. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical equipment including wiring single and three phase motors, running conduit, and pulling wiring to machinery and operating parts
  • Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and heat exchangers while replacing bearings, seals, and associated components
  • Check, repair, and replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, and other functional system components
  • Assist with installation and repair of piping / tubing, hot water systems, and associated controls while supporting other mechanics with major repairs
  • Maintain appropriate service repair work order records electronically using CMMS system and respond to routine and emergency repair calls
  • Research and inventory equipment parts and supplies while potentially training other team members in facilities maintenance
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies, participate in safety meetings and training, and apply OSHA requirements to all assigned work

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing
  • 4+ years minimum trade experience with superior customer service skills and orientation
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under stressful situations and multi-task without direct supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with collaborative work style and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physical activities including bending, standing, climbing, and walking
  • Capability to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in building maintenance
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade license in electrical field
  • Low voltage experience
  • CMMS and / or database experience
  • Knowledge of standard practices in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems
  • Experience reading and comprehending plans and blueprints
  • Familiarity with applicable code requirements and safety precautions for electronic and mechanical equipment installation
  • Location : On-site Concord, NC
