Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Technical Architect opening for our client in Abilene, TX.

Location : Preference is Texas based resource - occasional travel onsite to Abilene but can be anywhere

Duration : 2 months, with possibility for extension

Duties :

Lead the design, implementation, and remediation of enterprise-grade digital workplace and infrastructure solutions.

Architect and manage Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Tenant configurations, and Azure Active Directory, with a focus on security and compliance.

Implement and optimize identity and access management solutions.

Architect, upgrade, patch, and tune Windows Server environments (on-prem and hybrid).

Design and configure enterprise networks using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, and FirePower technologies.

Troubleshoot and optimize LAN / WAN and remote access network performance.

Design and manage NAS and SAN storage solutions, preferably Synology NAS, ensuring data availability, backup, and recovery strategies.

Collaborate cross-functionally with cloud, security, and application teams.

Provide on-site support and project delivery as needed (up to 25% travel).

Skills :

Expertise in Microsoft 365, Windows Server administration, and Cisco networking technologies.

Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.

Proficiency in NAS / SAN storage solutions.

Ability to develop and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Experience :

7+ years in IT infrastructure, focusing on M365, Windows Server, and Cisco networking.

Proven experience designing and remediating enterprise M365 environments.

Hands-on experience in enterprise network design, configuration, and security.

Experience with enterprise-grade NAS / SAN storage systems.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Relevant certifications preferred :

Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert or M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist

Synology Certified Engineer (SCE) or equivalent

CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (security-focused candidates)

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
