Overview :

A hospital in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Travel Pharmacist for an 18-week inpatient assignment. The role offers a unique block schedule (8-on / 6-off) and is ideal for a pharmacist experienced in hospital settings who thrives in evening shifts and fast-paced environments.

Setting :

Inpatient hospital pharmacy supporting acute and critical care units. The site utilizes Cerner for clinical documentation and Omnicell for medication dispensing.

Responsibilities :

Verifying medication orders and ensuring clinical appropriateness

Supervising pharmacy technicians and maintaining safe dispensing workflows

Collaborating with nurses and physicians on patient care plans

Performing pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring

Requirements :

Active California Pharmacist License (required)

Recent inpatient hospital experience (required)

Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is preferred

Availability for full 8-on / 6-off evening schedule
