Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to : teaching design / technical theatre classes theatre appreciation makeup advanced makeup basic sewing for stagecraft class supervision of the shop manager and work-study students as well as designing costumes and mentoring student designers for departmental productions.
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree / MFA in Costume Design or an MFA in Design with an emphasis on Costume Design. Proven experience in undergraduate teaching costume construction including period construction makeup wig / hair and wardrobe.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preference is given to candidates with additional expertise in other areas of theatre / entertainment design; experience in mentoring student designers is desired; and / or knowledge of online course delivery is desired.
