Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in both clinic and trauma center environments.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in various settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting information in electronic health records.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Support emergency medicine protocols and assist in the operating room (OR) as needed.
- Collaborate with internal medicine teams and provide assistance in specialized areas such as Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
Skills
Proficient understanding of medical terminology and healthcare systems.Experience working in a clinic or trauma center environment is preferred.Strong knowledge of emergency medicine practices.Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining a calm demeanor.Requirements :
MA licenseAt least High school or GED1 yr experience as MAPhlebotomy / EKG experienceCovid Vaccine CardPay : $24.00 per hour
Schedule : Monday to Friday - No weekends Needed
