Wood is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join its Power Solutions, Projects business, focusing on high-voltage electrical substation design. This opportunity is hybrid from our West Palm Beach, FL office.

This role will support electrical engineering design and execution across a variety of utility Transmission & Distribution projects. The Electrical Engineer will serve as Professional of Record on projects, prepare power system studies, and provide technical leadership for equipment specification, construction packages, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Expected :

Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized university

Minimum 6 years of experience in Utility or EPCM environment

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to self-manage and work in team settings

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 10 days per year

Desirable :

Familiarity with electrical engineering database tools such as SmartPlant Electrical or Aveva Electrical

Substation design experience will be preferred.
