Mid Level Security Technician

Job Title : Security Systems Technician

Location : Totowa, NJ

Employment Type : Contract to hire

Experience Level : Mid-Level (2-3 Years of experience)

Schedule : Monday - Friday

Hours : 7 am - 4 pm

Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing a variety of security systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer service skills. This will be in commercial environments - new construction. It will be apartments, businesses, law firms, financial institutions, etc. This involves running cable and installing / mounting devices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install and service IP-based CCTV systems
• Install and service card access control systems
• Install and service burglar and fire alarm systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
• Perform cable running and terminations
• Install electronic door and lock hardware
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, professional appearance
• Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide solutions

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00 / hr.
