Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for deployable communications systems, SATCOM, and secure network infrastructure.
  • Lead information assurance (IA) and cybersecurity compliance activities under DoD 8140 / 8570 requirements, ensuring RMF accreditation and OPSEC adherence.
  • Support the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of deployable SATCOM terminals, baseband, routing, switching, servers, and encryption systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, and architectural plans.
  • Serve as senior technical advisor to the Program Manager and COR during Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and reviews.
  • Mentor and provide technical oversight to Tier 1 and Tier 2 service desk staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (engineering, IT, or related discipline).
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with deployable communications systems.
  • At least one DoD 8140 / 8570 certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, etc.).
  • Strong background in IA, system security engineering, and DoD IT system compliance.
  • Experience with SATCOM, VSAT, DoD Gateways, encryption devices (HAIPE, CSfC), and tactical radios.
  • Active Secret clearance.
