Position Summary : To ensure technology is running as designed to deliver the product to the
customer. To identify, log and resolve any issues. Candidate should be mature, self-motivated,
extremely well-organized and detail-oriented, able to function under pressure and handle numerous
tasks simultaneously. The position would be well-suited to a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced
environment and is meticulous. They must be able to take initiative, prioritize with minimal
supervision and work independently, as well as part of a team.
About The Clearing House : The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. TCH owns and operates the core payments system infrastructure in the US and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by launching a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange.
Qualifications Required :
- Bachelor’s degree or education / training in an IT related field
- 2+ years’ experience with Cisco routers switches and Firewall
- 2+ years’ experience with authoring management packs
- 2+ years’ experience with working with Database, MQ, WebSphere
- 2+ years’ experience with Red Hat Linux and in an enterprise environment
- 2+ years of experience in developing and support of distributed financial services transaction processing platforms
- 2+ years using VMWARE 5.X or 6.X
- Experience using various versions of Windows Servers
- Experience in analyzing debugging issues as it applies to Cisco switches and routers
- Strong hands on experience with JAVA server-side technology and J2EE App server preferably WebSphere
- Experience with payment products, operations, and technology
- Strong working knowledge of LINUX commands, shell scripting and database queries (e.g. for troubleshooting as well as data patching)
- Datacenter and Monitoring Experience
- Strong knowledge of relational database Microsoft SQL and DB2
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail oriented and organized in both thought and practice
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a professional demeanor and be able to effectively work with external customers vendors and staff
- Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting priorities
- Must be a strong team player
- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-pace environment

Assist in the support of servers, network devices and mainframes at all facilities for hardware or software errorsDesign and execute diagnostic tests to monitor the health and performance of computer systems and communications equipmentMonitor client help desk calls and assist in the in resolution of problems; escalate problems to internal technical groups as appropriateTest and install communications equipment for internal and external customer useCreate documentation that will troubleshoot internal networks and systems efficientlyProvide training for Operations Representatives on the various networks and systems that The Clearing House supportsProvide enhanced network support for WAN and IP Telephony networksProactively contact participants when surveillance systems identify connectivity issuesInterface with vendors and clients to repair and resolve installation issuesSupport wide-area-network services, and other communication lines, for all customer communication linksImplement changes in our customer facing environmentsCoordinate and participate in Disaster Recovery exercisesPrepare Operations for the implementation or decommission of servicesAssist on various team projects to ensure Continual Service Improvements occur within OperationEngage with technical teams at our client banks, E-Wallets and payment networks to develop technical solution design for integration projectsTriage and troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues on a complex mission critical applicationPerform root cause analysis of issuesDevelop run-books for recurring issues, system implementation, shutdown and recoverySupport release implementation, infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and disaster recovery testingSupport Java, WebSphere & File Transfer applicationsPhysical demands and work environment : Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
The work schedule for this position is 7 AM - 7 PM, Thursday - Saturday. The training schedule for this position will be 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
