Job Summary
This entry-level position is situated in GlobalNOC's federal / research network engineering team. You will be working with other technical staff, management, and customers to understand and address a variety of operational problems in wide area networks (WANs), data centers, firewalls, and remote access VPNs which are connected through national-scope IP / MPLS networks. The equipment you will be managing includes vendors such as Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, and Ciena.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Travel will sometimes be required to customer sites across the US to install, test, and turn up their WAN connections.
