Direct Report : Next Gen Pastor

Position Status : Full Time ( hours)

Mission of Vizion Church : “ Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

Role Responsibilities

• Attend weekly Staff / Director meetings
• Oversee Youth Department
• Recruit, Train & Manage Volunteers
• Shepherd the Vizion Youth + volunteers and students to follow Jesus and become biblically literate
• Oversee Vizion Youth teaching
• Manage the Vizion Youth department budget
• Oversee Vizion Youth policies and procedures
• Oversee Vizion Youth Director(s)
• Uphold the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Standards of Vizion Church as a ministry
• Oversee Planning Center for Vizion Youth Department
• Publish weekly / monthly service flow via PCO for each service
• Onboard Volunteers
• Ensure the process is simple, efficient and effective.
• Ensure each volunteer receives a background check. Background checks must be maintained annually
• Lead with a multiplication mindset Grow / develop the team spiritually, numerically, and practically
• Schedule volunteers on Planning Center Online
• Ensure the schedule on PCO Services stays minimum 4 weeks ahead
• Set expectations of call times, preparedness, excellence, etc.
• Organize team nights
• Maintain + expand culture and community within the Vizion Vizion Youth department
• Minimum 3 per year
• Establish culture of worship at Vizion Church Encourage team members to attend church when not scheduled. Encourage team to be engaged and connected outside of their student ministry Encourage team members to be professional in dress and appearance Work with Lead Pastor / church leadership on special events.
• Monthly 1 on 1 with Team Leaders
• Ask how they are doing spiritually / practically
• Invite them to give you feedback
• Offer feedback / guidance to them
• Establish culture of parental involvement Maintain healthy communication with parents and guardians Involve parents and guardians in the discipleship process Encourage feedback from parents and guardians
• Oversee the operational aspects that lead up to and include each service Ensure the environments are safe, clean, organized and excellent
• Youth Ministry Oversee all aspects of the youth ministry Implement and operate weekly youth services Lead, Manage, and Shepherd the Youth Director
• Middle School Ministry
• Initiate middle school program / ministry in coordination with the Youth Director
• Oversee all aspects of the Middle School Ministry
• Develop and implement Vizion Youth outreach strategy Find creative solutions to engage students in the community around the church campus and bring them into a relationship with Jesus and His church.
• Oversee annual Youth Camp / Conference
• Assist Pastoral staff with special projects upon request
• Other Duties as assigned
