About the role
As an Application Software Engineer at Aalo Atomics, you’ll design and build internal tools that power our manufacturing workflows—from materials tracking and quality assurance to digital work instructions and performance analytics. You’ll partner with mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineers to ensure the software supports the physical build process from concept through deployment.
You will have ownership over the full lifecycle of the software you develop : understanding user needs, architecting solutions, writing code, shipping applications, and iterating based on feedback. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly contribute to building safe, reliable nuclear systems.
What you'll do
- Design and develop internal applications for engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to understand their workflows and build tailored solutions
- Develop software tools for managing complex data streams, part lifecycle tracking, and test data analysis
- Own projects from idea to deployment : architecture, implementation, testing, and maintenance
- Contribute to code reviews and design discussions to ensure maintainable and robust systems
- Help define best practices for application reliability, performance, and security
