THE OPPORTUNITY
The Rental Sales Representative position is a dynamic sales role within our organization. Focused on business-to-business account development and revenue growth, this position is for people who are motivated to sell. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting products, closing deals and operating a truck rental operation. This position offers a base salary but earning potential is uncapped as this position is commissionable in addition.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and coordinates sales and marketing programs and strategies for maximum rental fleet revenue utilization.
- Conducts ongoing personal solicitation, cold calls, mailers, and telemarketing calls on existing and prospective rental customers.
- Gather and utilize business intelligence on prospects to support sales calls, product presentations and drive new business.
- Provides telephone coverage during business hours for rental inquiries.
- Provides coverage for dispatch and return of rental vehicles during rental office hours and coordinates after hours coverage.
- Develop an annual business plan for the rental fleet and provide monthly updates on performance.
- Establishes criteria and develops recommendations for the Corporate Sales Manager – Inland Lease & Rental regarding fleet size and mix.
- Becomes familiar with and complies with the company’s Health & Safety Manual.
- Reports any unsafe practices to a manager.
- Other duties may be assigned
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
