Responsible for providing guidance and direction to the Network Engineering team on day-to-day activities regarding monitoring the network, installation sites, trouble isolation and repair of identified and reported problems. Responsible for the hiring, training, development, and performance management of staff.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develops a disciplined, detailed and structured team to drive a high performance culture and environment.
  • Provides engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives.
  • Work with staff to ensure that individual team metrics and goals are being met.
  • Ensures required reports are timely, accurate and complete.
  • Provides technical guidance and assistance as required for problem resolution.
  • Oversees the daily activities of Network Services and performs direct supervision of team members, including performance reviews, career development, and staffing.
  • Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
  • Knows, understands and follows company policy.
  • Establishes positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing support.
  • Performs other duties as requested by manager.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Required Education

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or related work experience

    Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.)

    Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT / E)

    Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

    Network Operations and / or Implementation experience - 6

    Project management experience - 2

    Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years

    Management experience in a 24 / 7 operations center - 3

    Office environment

    Varying schedules in a 24 x 7 Network Center

    Travel as required

    The base pay for this position generally is between $98,900.00 and $175,300.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
