Fit Recruiting is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to join a growing team in the Gulf Coast region. This leadership position is key to driving business growth, increasing profitability, and streamlining operations across multiple branches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meeting the region\u2019s revenue and profit targets while actively contributing to strategies that enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction. This role will oversee branches along the I-10 corridor from Mississippi to the Florida Panhandle. Base pay in the $100K range, depending on experience, plus growth, advancement, health insurance, 401K , and a company vehicle.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Provide overall sales leadership and direction to regional sales teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Division Operations Manager to enhance overall regional performance.
- Partner with operations and corporate staff to review existing procedures, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Lead the implementation and enforcement of sales policies and best practices across all regional branch locations.
- Support direct sales efforts by participating in selling activities alongside the sales team when necessary.
- Identify and resolve challenges affecting the sales team at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Develop and execute an annual sales plan, including strategies, objectives, and key initiatives, while providing executive management with regular performance updates.
- Establish and drive performance objectives for regional sales teams.
- Generate and analyze monthly regional performance reports; develop and implement action plans to address deficiencies or performance gaps.
- Review key sales metrics, including sales growth, category penetration, safety benchmarks, and gross profit percentage goals.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and upcoming initiatives; train and coach sales associates on effective sales processes and techniques.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the sales team to focus on high-impact opportunities with the most significant potential.
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and accountability to ensure consistent performance and growth.
- Spend at least four days per week in the field supporting Account Managers.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one performance reviews with Account Managers and other sales staff.
- Gather and assess customer feedback regarding overall company performance, and collaborate with functional leadership to implement necessary improvements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.Five years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in construction, concrete, tools, or fasteners.At least two years of management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and achieve results through others. Significant industry experience with proven leadership may be considered in lieu of formal management experience.Proven track record of sales success and customer retention.Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with effective problem-solving capabilities.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficient in oral and written communication.Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based tools.Customer-focused with a consultative sales approach.Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics and company value proposition.Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
