Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a billing, payables, or similar accounting role. Construction accounting experience preferred. Ability to work successfully in a deadline-drive environment with frequent interruptions. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. Viewpoint of similar software experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently with minimal supervision. Role is full-time, on-site in Waunakee, WI office
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Billing Analyst is responsible for collecting, posting, and managing billing paperwork to ensure accurate and timely accounting and submittal to customer.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and understands customer contracts to assure billing and job accounting are in compliance.
- Processes incoming field reports weekly, researches and resolves issues and discrepancies, and verifies proper job cost coding of revenue, payroll, and other expense.
- Prices and verifies accuracy of all billings before posting in accounting software and routing to customer for approvals.
- Processes customer receipts and monitors AR aging balances.
- Provides weekly reporting to field supervisors and management team.
- Understands and executes account reconciliations.
- Communicates directly with customers, field supervisors, and foreman.
- Assists with other accounting functions as needed.
