Computer Science Teacher – Develop Digital Skills and Lead GCSE Programming Pathways – Jersey

This Secondary School is seeking an innovative and passionate Computer Science Teacher to drive the digital skills and programming curriculum from January 2026.

  • Computer Science Teacher required from January 2026.

Jersey-based

school (Channel Islands) committed to technological literacy.

  • Seeking a specialist to lead GCSE Computer Science and develop programming skills (KS3 / 4).

    • You will teach Computing and Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, focusing on programming languages, algorithms, and digital literacy. The role involves linking the curriculum to the island's growing digital sector and encouraging student participation in coding and tech challenges. Students will learn to use a range of software tools such as web browsers, word processing software, spreadsheets and presentation software.

    Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven ability to teach and secure high grades in GCSE Computer Science .
  • Strong practical experience with programming languages (e.g., Python) and algorithmic thinking.
  • Commitment to promoting digital skills and e-safety across the student body.
