Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse Behavioral Health

Location : William Beaumont Army Medical Center Fort Bliss TX

Schedule :

12-hour shifts with one 8-hour shift per two-week period

45 shifts biweekly up to 80 hours per two-week period

Days vary SundaySaturday; schedule mission dependent

Position Overview

Provide comprehensive behavioral health nursing care in a military healthcare setting supporting patient safety readiness and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.

Ensure compliance with standards policies and procedures.

Perform assessments exams and health histories.

Provide health education counseling and interventions.

Administer medications and other treatments.

Supervise and assign tasks to nursing staff based on scope and skill.

Identify adverse symptoms and respond to emergencies.

Communicate effectively with patients families and providers.

Coordinate referrals and specialty care.

Support research and quality improvement initiatives.
