Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for electrical substation, transmission, and battery energy storage system (BESS) construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.

2. Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and to determine project requirements.

3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical codes and regulations.

4. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information for estimates.

5. Preparing and submitting competitive proposals and bids to secure new projects.

6. Participating in project meetings and providing updates on cost estimates and budget forecasts.

7. Continually monitoring project costs and updating estimates as necessary.

8. Utilizing Accubid and EBM software to improve the accuracy and efficiency of estimates.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on electrical substations.

2. Proficiency in Accubid and EBM estimating software.

3. An in-depth understanding of electrical code compliance.

4. Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

5. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.

6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

8. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
