Our in-house therapy team plays a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team.

Position Summary :

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will deliver high-quality therapy services to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery in a subacute rehab setting. The OT will assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement interventions designed to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and overall functional independence.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform evaluations and re-evaluations for patients with physical and / or cognitive impairments.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and discharge plans.

Provide direct patient care using evidence-based practices to improve ADLs and functional performance.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and case management.

Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and billing in compliance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques to promote continued progress after discharge.

Qualifications :

Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida (Required)

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD or MOT)

Current CPR certification

Prior experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule & Compensation :

Per Diem / PRN – Flexible scheduling

Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Supportive in-house therapy team – No contract or third-party therapy company involvement
