The Inventory & Allocation Planner is responsible for forecasting finished goods demand, managing inventory positioning across multiple sites, and executing customer allocation strategies to ensure optimal product availability. This role ensures that limited supply is distributed in alignment with Briotech’s service-level goals, contractual obligations, revenue priorities, and strategic account commitments.
The position is critical in connecting sales forecasts, production output, and customer fulfillment priorities to support rapid business growth and maintain strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Finished Goods Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain rolling finished goods demand forecasts by SKU, location, channel, and key customer.
- Incorporate market trends, sales forecasts, promotional plans, and product launches into demand models.
- Continuously refine forecasts using historical sales data, order patterns, and inventory performance metrics.
Inventory Management
Maintain optimal finished goods stock levels across Briotech facilities to support e-commerce, retail, and B2B channels.Set safety stock and reorder points by SKU and location, balancing service levels with working capital targets.Monitor inventory health (aging, slow movers, risk of obsolescence) and recommend mitigation strategies.Allocation Planning
Execute allocation decisions when supply is constrained, following the company’s allocation decision matrix.Prioritize allocation by customer tier, contractual commitments, and business impact.Coordinate allocation outcomes with Sales, E-commerce, Customer Service, and Operations teams.Track allocation fill rates and proactively communicate any changes in availability to internal stakeholders and customers.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production Scheduling to ensure output aligns with demand and allocation priorities.Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain to address upstream constraints impacting finished goods availability.Provide Sales and Customer Service teams with real-time inventory and allocation visibility.Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Maintain accurate inventory and allocation data in ERP / MRP systems (NetSuite preferred).Produce weekly and monthly reports on forecast accuracy, service level performance, allocation fulfillment, and inventory turns.Identify and implement process improvements in forecasting, inventory management, and allocation workflows.Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or related field.APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification preferred.Experience Required :
5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or allocation management in a manufacturing or CPG environment.Experience managing finished goods for multi-channel distribution (e-commerce, retail, B2B).Exposure to allocation decision-making during constrained supply situations.ERP / MRP experience required; NetSuite preferred.Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and statistical forecasting skills.Advanced Excel proficiency; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.Familiarity with regulated product environments (FDA, EPA, Health Canada, EU) a plus.Travel
Occasional travel to other Briotech facilities or customer sites (up to 10%)Salary : $95K - $110K DOE
