Summary
The ideal candidate for the Toddler Assistant Teacher should be a high school graduate, at least 19 years of age, and have experience in an early childhood program. CPR and First Aid a plus, other training and background checks will be required upon hire.

Duties
Teachers operate the classroom in compliance with all Georgia child care licensing standards. S / He ensures that child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with good child development principles. This includes routines related to diapering, hand washing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities. The position also ensures that parents receive adequate information about their child's experiences at the school through daily contacts.
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his / her care
- Be the caregiver for children in the classroom
- Change diapers as needed
- Soothe children by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise and engage with toddlers on the floor as they play with age-appropriate toys
- Supervise infants / toddlers at nap time
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
- Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs
- Approach parents daily and speak with them about their child(ren)
