job_description.job_card.job_descriptionKnowledge of transmission line work, foundations and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities, are all strongly preferred This job may require you to work up to 12 hour days, 5 to 6 days per week if project requires Able and willing to travel and stay for a minimum of 6 weeks at a time for a project Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions for up to 12 hours per day Must be able to wear company-provided PPE for the entire shift while onsite Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs or more at any given time throughout the day Must be able to walk on average 3 to 5 miles per day across rough terrain and / or uneven surfaces Ability to step in and out of a 3 / 4-ton pickup truck several times a day Must have current and valid driver’s license Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and comparing with the customer or engineers’ standards Combined in the below statement Proficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate well with others at all levels of the organization Will prepare detailed reports and present to the customer in an organized, clear and concise manner each day Medical / Dental / Vision Paid Holidays Vacation / Paid Sick Leave Voluntary Life Insurance 401K Telehealth Benefit covers all providers Maternity and Paternity Leave New Dads and Moms Benefit program Fertility Benefits Gender affirming care
Transmission Line Inspector
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is currently seeking a Transmission Line Inspector. This position will be primarily responsible for performing transmission line inspections. This position may be up to 100% travel. POWER will provide mobilization to and from the project. Work will be conducted in the Baton Rouge area and surrounding states.
Required Education / Experience
- The successful candidate will have 10+ years of active field experience, computer skills (to properly fill out daily and weekly reports) and also be capable of photo documentation with working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Travel requirement is based on project location

Base Salary Range : $50K - $100K
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
