Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Support production and respond to day-to-day manufacturing challenges on the shop floor.
  • Assist with quoting new and existing projects, including estimating material and labor costs.
  • Contribute to the RFQ (Request for Quote) process, working with the team to provide accurate and timely responses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and quality, to ensure smooth product transitions from design to production.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
  • Maintain documentation and records in compliance with AS9100D quality management system requirements.
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers to source raw materials and components.

Requirements & Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Familiarity with AS9100D standards and quality management systems.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for designing tooling and fixtures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
  • This is full-time salaried position with full benefits offered. Approximately 10% of travel is expected.
