We are looking for an Assembly Coordinator to join our team at Agrisolutions in Rock Island, IL . The Assembly Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the assembly department to ensure processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role involves coordinating station rotations, monitoring workflow, maintaining quality standards, and leading staff to meet production goals.

Essential Functions :

  • Maintains accurate production records, reports OEE metrics daily, and suggests improvements to optimize operations. Opens SCRAs as needed.
  • Ensures a steady flow of materials and products through the assembly process; identifies and resolves bottlenecks or delays.
  • Monitors product quality to meet company standards and regulatory requirements; reports any non-conformities to management and the quality team.
  • Trains and supports assembly staff; provides feedback to the production supervisor to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
  • Keeps work area, machines, and equipment clean using 6S organizational techniques.
  • Follows and assures others follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Leads employees by maintaining a positive attitude and setting a good example that others will follow.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate objectives and directions to others.
  • Treats everyone fairly and with respect.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the ERP system, other IT equipment, forklifts and other material handling equipment / tools used in the area.
  • Assures that the standardized work procedures that have been put in place are followed to maximize productivity and reduce errors.
  • Collaborates with the production team to implement Lean methods, focusing on eliminating waste.
  • Enters data into the BPCS system.
  • Attends training classes as required.
  • Checks other employees’ completed tasks for accuracy.
  • Works with internal departments as needed.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Prior experience in a production leader / coordinator role is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience as a forklift operator is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of 6S organizational techniques is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Lean-OEE principles is preferred.
  • Ability to perform all Assembly operator and utility job duties. Willing to step into these roles when they are not needed as a coordinator.
  • Ability to work any shift when needed (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Shift differentials will be added to base pay when applicable.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, manage diverse teams, and build strong work relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Works in a factory environment, and can be exposed to dirt, grit, noise, and dust. Protective clothing and safety equipment are required while working in the facility. This environment is typically lit with fluorescent or LED lights.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Sits, stands, walks, and moves around the warehouse 8 or more hours per day on concrete floors.
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or with equipment. Must be able to safely lift 20-50 pounds.
  • Regularly bends, stoops, and squats to pick up products or place them on lower shelves.
  • Reaches above head height and below knee level to retrieve or store items in high or low locations.
  • Pushes and pulls carts, pallets, etc. through the warehouse to transport goods to designated areas.
  • Performs tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as scanning barcodes, labeling products, using handheld devices, and typing on a computer.
  • Operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
