Billing Representative

Busy New York Hospital is looking for a Billing Representative to join their team. Responsibilities include : Process and post payments for Medicare, Medicaid, third-party, commercial insurance, and client accounts. Manage billing for cross-coverage and various payer types. Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing records. Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries. Assist with audits and reporting to ensure compliance and data integrity. Support leadership with other billing or accounting-related projects as needed. Qualifications include : High School Diploma / GED required. At least 1 year of experience in a billing role, including Medicare, Medicaid, third-party, client accounts, and commercial insurance. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with payment posting and reconciliations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
