Role Overview :

• Receives all incoming animals, checking them for species, strain, sex, and health status.
• Prepares cage cards for each cage and transfers animals from shipping crates to new cages.
• Verifies accuracy of order by comparing order to packing slip to actual animals delivered and delivers animals to proper animal rooms.
• Ensure holding room environmental parameters are met and maintained and report all facility related problems to Management.
• Contacts other RARC employees and / or WCMC / MSKCC investigators regarding housing or health and welfare issues in person or via email and / or telephone.
• Updates data in applicable software applications as needed. Assists with and ensures smooth operations of facilities by working closely with Management.
• Performs light carpentry work and minor equipment installations in vivaria at Managements' request.
