Grant Writer
The Institute for Justice (IJ) seeks an experienced writer to join our fundraising team as a Grant Writer and be part of our dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-faceted development program as we work to raise the Institute's $50+ million budget annually. The successful candidate will enjoy using their exceptional writing skills to create compelling proposals, reports, and other materials to attract and maintain a robust portfolio of foundations that will invest in IJ's mission to end widespread abuses of government power and protect the constitutional rights of everyday people as they pursue their American Dream.
Responsibilities :
- Draft, revise, and produce high-quality proposals, reports, and other communications
- Manage and grow a significant portfolio of high-dollar general operating and project-specific grants
- Identify and follow through on new foundation support
- Review grant deliverables to ensure that the Institute is on track to meet all promised outputs and outcomes; track and update progress through the life cycle of the grant
- Identify top growth prospects in your funding portfolio; develop and execute a strategy to increase donor support
