As a Food Expeditor at Chicago Waffles, you are the critical link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring that every plate leaves the kitchen accurately, beautifully presented, and promptly delivered. Your focus on food quality, accuracy, and coordination helps us deliver an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities :

Food Quality & Accuracy :

Inspect dishes to confirm accuracy of orders and adherence to portion, presentation, and quality standards.

Ensure all plates meet Chicago Waffles’ visual and food safety standards before leaving the kitchen.

Garnish plates according to menu and presentation guidelines.

Communication & Coordination :

Act as the liaison between kitchen staff and servers.

Prioritize and organize ticket flow to ensure timely food delivery.

Clarify special requests or dietary restrictions with kitchen or servers as needed.

Help deliver food directly to tables.

Assist with take-out order packing and guest pickup coordination.

Work closely with kitchen, barista, and server teams to ensure service runs smoothly.

Qualifications : Essential :

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Clear communication in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Attention to detail in food presentation and ticket handling.

Reliable and punctual.

Desirable :

Previous experience in a restaurant expeditor or kitchen support role.

Food Handler and Allergen Certification (required before completion of training).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Maintain knowledge of all food items and plating standards.

Perform all assigned opening, mid-shift, and closing duties.

Keep expo and adjacent work areas clean and organized at all times.

Secondary Job Functions :

Support team members across all FOH / BOH tasks as needed.

Participate in training sessions, menu tastings, and staff meetings.
