Advantage Technical is hiring a Quality Technician in the Roseville, MN, area to support post-market complaint investigations for medical devices. Pay & Schedule :

  • Pay Rate : $27.00 per hour
  • Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Key Responsibilities :

  • Receive, document, and process returned medical devices in the Global Complaint Management System
  • Decontaminate medical device returns following OSHA, safety protocols, and established Work Instructions
  • Package, document, and coordinate the shipment of returned devices to external vendors
  • Safely dispose of biohazard materials and manage laboratory inventory and supplies
  • Track and organize laboratory Work-In-Progress (WIP) and ensure proper storage and disposal of products after retention periods
  • Assist in root cause investigations, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities, and nonconformance evaluations (NCEP)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system
  • Maintain compliance with Quality System Regulations (QSR), FDA, Medical Device Directive (MDD), and ISO 13485 quality standards
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation in support of complaint handling and product investigations
  • Build a culture of quality and compliance in day-to-day operations
  • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in life sciences or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory, quality, or medical device experience (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
  • Hands-on experience with complaint management systems and handling medical device returns preferred
  • Familiarity with chemical handling, mixing reagents, and laboratory safety protocols
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience with FDA QSR, MDD, ISO 13485 Quality Standards, and CAPA / NCEP processes a plus
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Comfortable working with explanted medical device returns and exposure to biological materials (blood)
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Previous experience in laboratory operations within the medical device or healthcare industry
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to document processes and follow established quality protocols
