POSITION SUMMARY

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for the full management and daily operations of the clinic lab at Brevard Health Alliance. This role supports high-quality care for culturally diverse populations by ensuring accurate specimen collection, processing, reconciliation, and compliance with all safety and quality standards. The Laboratory Technician performs venipuncture and manages a variety of tests including glucose tolerance, pregnancy testing, swabs, urine drug screening, and other complex specimen types. This position also oversees lab inventory, equipment sterilization, and coordination with clinical and external lab teams to ensure timely and reliable diagnostic support.

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency / Educational Diploma (GED)
• Graduate from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technician training program
• Certification in Phlebotomy required
• Verifiable related experience as a phlebotomist for a minimal of 2 years preferred
