Description
The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and coordinating communication radio frequency assignments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide safe voice communication service channels between pilots and controllers. The engineer will work closely with regulatory bodies, engineering teams, and project managers to support spectrum-related initiatives across various projects.
Primary Responsibilities :
Familiarity with frequency assignment principles, RF propagation, and interference mitigation.
Understanding of land mobile radio (LMR) systems, analog and digital radio networks, and narrowband operations.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Capable of identifying potential conflicts in frequency usage and proposing solutions based on engineering judgment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient with common office software and able to learn specialized tools and databases used for frequency management and analysis.
Basic Qualifications :
All new hires must pass a drug test prior to starting with Leidos.

Pay Range :
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
