MNIT Administration supports systems that power the agency's diverse responsibilities, including insurance / risk management, procurement, construction projects, leases, and state property maintenance.

Job Summary

Join Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) and the Minnesota Department of Administration (Admin) as an Application Support Specialist, where you'll lead IT support and development for key databases and websites within Admin's Risk Management Division (RMD). Your role will involve providing leadership, expertise, and training to ensure the smooth operation of critical applications, aiding managerial decision-making, and enhancing communication within the division.

You'll also guide and support other staff, oversee the planning and deployment of data systems, and contribute to the overall mission of Admin. Admin operates the state government's insurance program, including workers' compensation and safety programs, and provides a range of services such as disability management, return-to-work programs, and risk management consulting.

This position requires an employee to be onsiteat 50 Sherburne Ave, St. Paul,Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of experi ence in performing IT application supportfunctions.

Experience must include :

Project Planning

A master's degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor's degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year .
