Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons in performing advanced surgical procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions dental implants bone grafting and IV sedation cases. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a surgical setting and is committed to ensuring patient safety comfort and a high standard of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures including extractions implants bone grafts and IV sedation.

Prepare sterilize and maintain surgical instruments equipment and operatories following strict infection control standards.

Monitor and support patients before during and after surgical procedures to ensure safety and comfort.

Take and process dental radiographs including panoramic and CBCT images (if certified).

Provide thorough post-operative care instructions to patients and caregivers.

Maintain and manage surgical inventory prepare instrument trays and order supplies as needed.

Support anesthesia and sedation setup (IV or nitrous oxide) and assist with patient recovery under supervision.

Work collaboratively with front office and clinical teams to maintain an efficient and patient-centered workflow.

Required Skills & Experience :

12 years of dental assisting experience.

Hands-on experience in oral surgery environments.

Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred :

Experience assisting with IV sedation and nitrous oxide procedures.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications & Licensure :

CPR Certification (current).

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential.

X-ray Certification (state-recognized).
