Strong knowledge of reading and modifying electrical control schematics. Familiarity with safety protocols and standards. Ability to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, simulation, and testing. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
PLC Programmer Position
We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming and a deep understanding of various automation hardware and software. This role involves designing, configuring, and integrating control systems, with a focus on gas detection and chemical dispense control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and integrate PLC systems, variable frequency drives, control, and communication networks, and other electrical hardware and software.
- Provide setup and startup support for hardware and software related to PLCs and other automation devices.
- Read and modify electrical control schematics and logic diagrams for program design, simulation, testing, and start-up.
- Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot operational problems in PLC systems.
- Specify, design, and build programs tailored to specific customer requirements.
- Modify existing programs to meet customer needs and enhance system performance.
- Provide guidance to Field Service Engineers in programming, repair, installation, and maintenance of PLC systems.
- Select and configure additional automation devices, such as VFDs, for automation and control.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols in all programming and operational activities.
- Serve as an advisor on technical matters and assist in the development of operating procedures.
