About the Role :

The Construction Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that construction projects meet all regulatory and safety standards. This position involves closely monitoring roadway construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes. The inspector will be responsible for documenting findings, conducting site visits, and collaborating with contractors and engineers to address any issues that arise. By maintaining high standards of quality and safety, the inspector contributes to the successful completion of projects that enhance community infrastructure. Ultimately, this role is vital in safeguarding public safety and ensuring the longevity of constructed roadways.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in roadway inspection or a related field minimum 5 years
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification as a construction inspector or similar credential.
  • NICET Certification is a plus
  • Experience with project management software and inspection tools.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Conduct regular inspections of roadway construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports on construction progress, issues, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to resolve any discrepancies or concerns identified during inspections.
  • Review construction plans and specifications to ensure all work is performed according to established guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to contractors on best practices and compliance with safety standards.
  • Skills :

    The required skill of roadway inspection is utilized daily as the inspector evaluates construction practices and ensures adherence to safety standards.     The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $55,000 - $82,500 . This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.

    Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
