Associate Community Manager

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring an Associate Community Manager for a global gaming and entertainment leader renowned for its iconic franchises and passionate player communities. This is a hybrid, 12-month contract role based in Irvine, California, with potential for extension. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday onsite.

In this role, you’ll support the community and marketing efforts for a major live game, helping strengthen engagement, communications, and trust between players and the development team. You’ll serve as an advocate for the community—creating content, managing social channels, and supporting creator and player programs.

Associate Community Manager Responsibilities :

Engage directly with players on community platforms including Discord, Reddit, and official forums.

Develop and distribute written communications, such as patch notes, blogs, and social posts.

Act as a public-facing community representative and support brand presence across multiple channels.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging player messaging.

Assist in organizing events, contests, and initiatives that foster player engagement and growth.

Manage creator partnerships by identifying, supporting, and maintaining relationships with key community influencers.

Collect and analyze player feedback to share actionable insights with development teams.

Coordinate asset management, scheduling, and content calendars across teams.

Associate Community Manager Qualifications :

1–3 years of experience building or managing gaming communities.

Strong understanding of player engagement, community culture, and social platforms (Reddit, Discord, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a player-first mindset.

Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple concurrent initiatives.

Familiarity with Diablo or ARPG titles (preferred).

Experience using tools like Confluence, JIRA, Sprinklr, or Wrike (preferred).
