Summary : Completes a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patient and staff; provides assistance to the physician and appropriate medical staff by performing the following duties.
Required Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Places patients in rooms, identifies patient, assists with taking and recording vital signs, records patient history, medications, and any changes. Ensures all testing and consenting is up to date.
- Performs phlebotomy successfully.
- Collects and labels specimen as outlined in lab orders / requisitions.
- Transports specimens to the lab promptly for testing.
- Cleans, stocks, and maintains all exam rooms.
- Assists with patient medication instructions, helping patient get the proper medications ordered from the pharmacy.
- Provide medication instructions as needed.
- Provide education to client as needed regarding medications, procedures, and fertility treatments.
- Thoroughly complete documentation in patient medical record.
- If unable to assist client with their needs, please direct call to another team member, team lead, or manager.
- Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.

Education / Experience : High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training.
