Sr Financial Analyst, AWS Corporate Development Finance

Overview

Amazon seeks a talented finance professional to work with its AWS Corporate Development organization. The person in this high-visibility role will be responsible for helping to evaluate a wide range of AWS opportunities, including M&A, investments, and other strategic partnership opportunities. The person in this position will also assist in due diligence and conduct extensive industry research. This position plays a key, active role on a small team that drives corporate transactions across AWS businesses. Many assignments will be highly ambiguous and require an independent, intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses including of the end-customer, business owner, and corporate finance professional.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships
• Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate business opportunities across technology sectors
• Research and analyze emerging technology trends, market dynamics, and potential investment targets
• Prepare detailed presentations and recommendations for senior management and executive leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,500 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,600 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
