Firefly Children & Family Alliance is currently seeking a Therapist to join our Survivor Services team. This role provides therapeutic interventions and support to individuals who have experienced domestic violence and / or sexual assault.
The position serves grant based clients only, with no DCS ordered clients or monthly DCS reports required. Scheduling offers flexibility with a combination of in-person (office and / or community based) and virtual appointments. Some evening hours are expected. Bilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply.
You Will : Therapy (70%)
- Provide counseling support to a caseload of individuals, families, and groups working to achieve treatment goals related to healing from trauma or processing emotions
- Guide clients through clear, beneficial counseling methods to accomplish client-set goals
- Maintain the therapeutic standards outlined by professional degrees and licenses
- Establish and maintain rapport with clients, communicating clearly and directly that is rooted in respect and compassion
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine the client's level of need and best therapeutic intervention
Therapy Support (30%)
Complete documentation of all client contactsParticipate in multi-disciplinary meetings when appropriateParticipate in outreach events to promote Survivor Services programmingParticipate in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness eventsYou Have :
Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family TherapyKnowledge of and skills in working with survivors of abuse, family dynamics and basic counseling methodsCurrent associate license working towards a clinical license of LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCACExcellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skillsMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid driver's license with no more than 6 points and a valid insuranceBilingual applicants are highly encouraged to applyOur Benefits :
