Possible temp to hire opportunity - WEEKEND SHIFT

Alachua, FL

Schedule : FT

Weekend Shift : Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Monday from 5AM - 5 : 30PM

Pay Rate : $18.50 / hr

Responsibilities :

Prepare safe, quality grafts and maintain aseptic technique (practices and procedures under controlled conditions that minimize contamination by pathogens) with a high level of accuracy
Verify the sterility and calibration of supplies and equipment before use
Legibly and accurately complete written documentation of all processing and cleaning activities from beginning to end on controlled forms and electronic systems
Accurately read measuring instrumentation (ruler, caliper, graduated cylinders, etc.) used in cleaning and processing activities
Take appropriate safety precautions while working with sharps, cutting equipment, and other hazards
Measure label, and package all tissue accurately and according to standard operating procedure
Prepare necessary tissue and environmental samples for testing according to standard operating procedures
Perform line clearance and quality inspection review of all processed tissue and paperwork
Ensure biohazardous and non-biohazardous waste is placed in the appropriate containers and bags and that it???s labeled and documented according to procedure
Prepare chemicals in appropriate ratios for processing and cleaning activities
Other duties as assigned

Working hours : 5 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM

Skills :

Ability to work in a team environment

Education : High School

Experience : 1-4 years

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required

General knowledge of anatomy

Able to complete basic math skills in addition, division, subtraction, and multiplication

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with data entry preferred

Lab experience highly preferred
