Possible temp to hire opportunity - WEEKEND SHIFT

Alachua, FL

Schedule : FT

Weekend Shift : Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Monday from 5AM - 5 : 30PM

Pay Rate : $18.50 / hr

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare safe, quality grafts and maintain aseptic technique (practices and procedures under controlled conditions that minimize contamination by pathogens) with a high level of accuracy
  • Verify the sterility and calibration of supplies and equipment before use
  • Legibly and accurately complete written documentation of all processing and cleaning activities from beginning to end on controlled forms and electronic systems
  • Accurately read measuring instrumentation (ruler, caliper, graduated cylinders, etc.) used in cleaning and processing activities
  • Take appropriate safety precautions while working with sharps, cutting equipment, and other hazards
  • Measure label, and package all tissue accurately and according to standard operating procedure
  • Prepare necessary tissue and environmental samples for testing according to standard operating procedures
  • Perform line clearance and quality inspection review of all processed tissue and paperwork
  • Ensure biohazardous and non-biohazardous waste is placed in the appropriate containers and bags and that it???s labeled and documented according to procedure
  • Prepare chemicals in appropriate ratios for processing and cleaning activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Working hours : 5 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM

Skills :

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Education : High School

    Experience : 1-4 years

    Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • General knowledge of anatomy
  • Able to complete basic math skills in addition, division, subtraction, and multiplication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with data entry preferred
  • Lab experience highly preferred
