job_description.job_card.job_descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent, or technical training / certification. 3 - 5 years of experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic repairing construction equipment. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems . Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Strong attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills. Experience utilizing computer diagnostic software programs such as Cummins Insite, J-Pro, or Altec. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is preferred but not a requirement . $30 - $40 / hr. Wage range will vary based on experience, certification, or qualification Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off and holidays Day shift : 6 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM Monday to Friday.
Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Exeter, PA . This role is ideal for a dependable technician with a strong background in construction equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy equipment.
- Identify and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
