job_description.job_card.job_description5+ years of UI / UX design experience, preferably in government / public-facing websites. Strong expertise in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools. Proven knowledge of ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1 standards. Ability to design for mobile-first and responsive web environments.
Position : UI / UX Designer
Duration : 6 Months with Extension
Location : Remote 90% Onsite 10% for training and other meetings. Onsite location would be Houston, TX
Responsibilities
- Design modern, user-friendly, and responsive website interfaces.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups aligned with Harris County branding.
- Ensure ADA / Section 508 and WCAG accessibility compliance.
- Collaborate with developers for seamless design-to-code implementation.
- Conduct usability testing and implement user feedback.
