Job Description :

Come join Barry-Wehmiller Filling and Closing, part of the Barry-Wehmiller Packaging family of businesses. BWFC is looking for a talented Mechanical Technician who will join our 1st shift team at our Stow, Ohio facility.

Essential Job Functions :

• Work from assembly drawings, specifications and instructions to plan work in proper sequences.
• Assemble sections of machines or various combinations thereof as indicated by customer specifications.
• Perform assembly operations to exacting tolerances, work with various types of parts including rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures, and pneumatic controls.
• Operate various hand and power tools involved in assembly
• Use precision measurement tools to level and align work, detect and eliminate run-out, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity and parallelism.
• Detect defective material, out of tolerance components or operating difficulties and report to supervisor describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions
• Complete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements.
• Able to multi-task various duties throughout the day as needed, with an ability to be versatile and flexible.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; be able to independently solve problems while interacting with different teammates on daily processes and flow.
• Actively participate in team meetings to effectively communicate any discrepancies and help resolve production issues.
• Work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Maintain work areas and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe fashion
