Project Manager - Wilson, NC - 12-Month Contract

Our client, One of the world’s largest pharmaceutical organizations is responsible for developing and manufacturing medicines and vaccines for a wide range of medical disciplines. They have been responsible for the development of many blockbuster drugs in both the USA and the EU and have a presence in the USA, EU and Asia-Pacific.

With continued organizational growth and a considerable amount of investment across the portfolio and capital program they are seeking the expertise of a Project Manager.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages development of project schedule, including key milestones, critical path and related interdependencies.
  • Creates and manages all associated Change Controls and actions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior internal and / or external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Supports resource forecasts and confirms appropriate team resources assigned for project support.
  • Leads and facilitates the identification of operation and project issues and risks and drives resolution through a matrix environment, effectively documenting decisions / rationale.
  • Tracks milestone achievement, decision points and prepares governance presentations to support decision making and prioritization.
  • Provides solutions to problems which requires the use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.
  • Conducts lessons learned and after-action reviews.

Requirements :

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience OR a bachelors with at least 3 years of experience OR Masters with more than 1 year of experience.
  • Demonstrated 3-5 years prior experience in project / program management supporting technology transfer, production, engineering, or process development
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be able to articulate issues and solutions to the team and upper management. Able to produce high quality project reports and presentations
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to identify what needs to be done and then reliably see this work through to successful outcomes
  • Professional PM Certification (Project Management Professional [PMP] or equivalent) preferred
