Project Overview

We're seeking a senior-level technical advisor with strong experience integrating Empower with LabVantage v8.X via the LabVantage Empower Connect Module. This is a short-term assessment engagement focused on evaluating current-state architecture, defining integration strategy, and delivering a technical roadmap. While this is not a full deployment, the work may include sample interfaces or light configuration to support the assessment's value.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advisory-level guidance on Empower–LabVantage integration
Evaluate usage of the LabVantage Empower Connect Module
Assess readiness for connecting both complex and simple lab instruments
Advise on SDMS-based integration and direct instrument connectivity (Cat 5, RS232, etc.)
Deliver a clear, actionable roadmap outlining integration steps, technical considerations, and level of effort
Contribute hands-on technical work if needed to support findings

Must-Have Experience

Strong experience integrating Empower with LabVantage v8.X

Hands-on with the LabVantage Empower Connect Module

Solid understanding of SDMS integration and lab instrument connectivity

Familiarity with instrument-level networking (Cat 5, RS232, etc.)

Ability to conduct assessments and clearly present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field required

Advanced degrees or certifications in Laboratory Informatics, LIMS, or Systems Integration are a plus

Nice to Have

Experience in laboratory informatics projects in the life sciences or biopharma sectors

Prior consulting or assessment-based project work
