The School of Data Science at Old Dominion University invites applications for a Lecturer position, starting in Fall 2025 . We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator with a passion for teaching and a strong background in data science or related fields. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing flexible learning paths that accommodate a diverse student body and support student success through innovative teaching practices, including the effective use of AI tools. Responsibilities include teaching courses at various levels, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting student achievement. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration in a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment. Minimum required level and type of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to faculty able to teach in an innovative and interdisciplinary environment, including in-person and online (both synchronous and asynchronous mode) courses, and to create interactive and personalized learning experience by leveraging advanced AI tools into the classroom.
