Prime Air is seeking an experienced Procurement Agent who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. You will have a record of being able to perform large scale processes and deliver results. You should have the ability to work under pressure, overcome obstacles and perform in changing environment.
Our Procurement Agent is responsible for managing complex procurement activities, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal value for the organization. This role requires advanced negotiation skills and deep understanding of supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute end-to-end procurement processes including PO placement, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, and contract management
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost savings and improve operational efficiency
- Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics
- Analyze market conditions and pricing trends to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Lead complex contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies
- Monitor and report on key procurement metrics and KPIs
- Mentor junior procurement team members
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field5+ years of procurement experienceStrong negotiation and contract management skillsProficient in procurement systems and MS Office SuiteExperience with strategic sourcing and category managementStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred Qualifications :
Professional certification (CPSM, CPM, or similar)Experience with e-procurement systemsKnowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirementsProject management experienceAdvanced degree or MBAKey job responsibilities :
Generate purchasing requisitions according to forecasted needsTrack and communicate delivery schedules with internal partnersMonitor and mitigate overall risk for new launchesContinuously work with the team to improve current processesCollaborate with suppliers, to ensure timely deliveries and quality complianceProactively communicate risks and issues to key stakeholders and recommend mitigationsDocument and maintain records of procurement, order fulfillment, and transportation when applicableDay-to-day order management, including transactional issue resolution and critical information gathering regarding schedules, invoices, tracking info, etc.Export Control License : This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
